Since the EA will trade around New York closing time (16:00 – 18:00 New York time), GMT will be different in summer compared to winter (Daylight Saving Time: DST). However, EA stores daylight saving time internally, so there is no need to manually adjust the trading time.
The EA should run uninterrupted on a VPS (also on Fridays) to store historical data.

For backtesting, it is important to have the correct GMT settings. Ideally, a Tick Data Suite GMT + 2 with US DST should be used for backtesting.
Since this strategy is traded near swaps, the spreads are usually very large. You must use real spreads in the backtest. But keep in mind that spreads are usually very different between brokers at that time.
EA’s should be closed when important events occur, such as general elections in the UK, US or Europe!
