Momentum Strategy NT8 -redefines how traders can use momentum by overcoming its traditional weaknesses and enhancing its strengths. It equips you with clear trend analysis, reliable momentum-based signals, and effective trade management — all in one intuitive momentum-only trading system.
Until now, our trading systems have been built around tools like moving averages, ATR, and Fibonacci. But a momentum-only trading system? That was missing — until now.
You might wonder why it took us so long to develop a momentum-focused trading system. The answer lies in the nature of momentum itself.
As a lagging indicator, it poses a fundamental challenge:
“How can we turn momentum into a tool that provides earlier signals, while remaining reliable, simple to use, and effective for traders?”
After extensive work — drawing on lessons learned from professional fund traders — we arrived at the solution: Momentum Strategy
All key aspects of the system, including trend direction, phases and trade signals, are based on momentum with enhancements to address its traditional weaknesses.
What sets Momentum Strategy apart
- Multi-timeframe momentum analysis: Observe momentum across multiple timeframes to detect the start of a trend earlier.
- Clear identification of trend phases: Use momentum structure to pinpoint the beginning, development, and potential end of a trend.
- Combination of momentum cycles and price action: Leverage both momentum cycles and price action to generate earlier entry signals and improve the Reward:Risk ratio.
- Momentum-based trailing stop: Apply a trailing stop derived from the well-known Turtle Trading method.
- Intuitive and informative interface: Display momentum histograms directly on the chart to help assess the strength of trend phases and recognize signals at the right time.
- Ease of use for all traders: Deliver a straightforward design that works equally well for traders at any level.
Características principais
1. Trend identification
The momentum trading system uses 2 mechanisms, MA crossover & multi-timeframe momentum analysis, to identify trends more effectively and with less noise compared to traditional momentum.
It also helps you recognize all key stages of a trend: beginning, strengthening, weakening, and continuation. With this information, you can confidently hold positions when the trend is strong and step aside when the trend shows signs of losing momentum.
2. Trading signals
Trading signals are generated based on 4 key factors: trend, price action, momentum, and moving averages. This multi-layered confirmation makes the signals more reliable and allows you to capture opportunities both during retracements and when the main trend resumes.
The signals are well-suited to both scalping and day trading strategies, providing flexibility for different trading styles.
3. Stop placement & trailing stop
The momentum-only trading system provides 2 plots on the chart: a trend plot & a trailing stop plot.
- Trend plot: Indicates the current trend and also serves as a stop placement when the trailing stop has not yet appeared.
- Trailing stop plot: Emerges when market momentum increases significantly. This line tracks price more closely than the trend plot, helping you secure profits at better levels.
By combining both plots, the system helps you avoid exiting trades prematurely while still protecting your gains.
