Description
A NinjaTrader 8 indicator that displays an on-chart, moveable WPF panel showing upcoming economic news events (sourced from ForexFactory/FairEconomy.media), with sound and Alert Log notifications before high-impact events.
News Display
- Moveable WPF panel (drag by title bar) positioned via X/Y pixel settings
- Downloads weekly economic calendar XML from FairEconomy.media
- Shows Date/Time, Currency (FX), Impact level, and Description (with previous/forecast values)
- Filter by news period: Today’s News, Next 24 Hrs, or All Week
- Filter by impact: High only, High+Medium, or All
- Option for US-only events
- Configurable max items to display and refresh interval (1–24 hrs)
Alerts
- Sound alerts at two stages: halfway mark before event and at event time
- Configurable warning time (0–120 min before)
- Alerts trigger only for selected impact level or higher
- Integrates with NinjaTrader’s Alerts Log window
- 12-hour rearm period to prevent duplicate alerts
- Customizable sound files for pending/imminent alerts
Visuals
- Customizable colors: High/Medium/Low priority, Active event, Header, Title bar
- Active (ongoing) events highlighted with special color
- Adjustable background opacity (1–100%)
- Optional 24-hour time format
- Bold text for events meeting alert threshold
